dBShield is a sound level meter app. All measurement data and session logs are stored exclusively on your device. No data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party at any time.
We collect nothing. dBShield does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information, measurement data, or usage data.
dBShield requires microphone permission to measure sound levels. Audio is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored as audio, or transmitted anywhere. Only the calculated dB level is used by the app.
dBShield may request optional location permission so you can add location labels to saved sessions. Location data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted or shared.
All session logs, measurements, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you export a session via CSV or text, the export goes to the destination you choose — dBShield has no access to where those files go after export.
dBShield uses Google Play's in-app purchase system to process the one-time $4.99 pro unlock payment. Google's privacy policy governs that transaction. dBShield receives no financial or personal data from that process.
dBShield contains no ads and uses no advertising SDKs or ad tracking permissions in any tier — free or paid.
dBShield is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
